Here are some sample visualizations of model simulations. This includes screenshot images and animations.

Images

Here's are example screenshots of an active climate model simulation viewed on a public users desktop. They show cloud cover (top), surface temperature (bottom left) and precipitation (bottom right). In the background is the 'BOINC' interface which users use to control the running of the simulation:

Animations

At the moment you can download and view this animation package which shows a few days of a model simulation:
Download Visualization [Note: 100MB download]

Instruction for viewing animation:

  1. Download the viz.zip file from the above link, saving it to your computer.
  2. Once saved, unzip the file and navigate to the viz folder within it.
  3. Launch the gfx2.exe executable from within this folder (the gfx?.exe's will run the animation at different speeds. ?=2 is deemed the nicest).
  4. The animation should now launch. Press h on your keyboard for a list of animation options.
